Alert: GPs in England are now able to prescribe the medication Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) for weight loss.

Availability of the drug is being made available on a phased basis, with the first group of people eligible under the national criteria being people who:
Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 kg/m² or more (or 37.5 kg/m² for people from minority ethnic family backgrounds)
and
Have at least four of the following long-term conditions:
1. Type 2 diabetes
2. Hypertension (high blood pressure)
3. Dyslipidaemia
4. Established cardiovascular disease
5. Obstructive sleep apnoea

Getting your test results

If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.

Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:

  • in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • phone or visit us between 10am to 4pm and we will tell you what the results are
