Witton Street Surgery has strict policies in place for the safe prescribing of medication.
If you are taking any of medication listed below you will be reviewed by a GP or the practice pharmacist and a programme put in place with you to reduce and then discontinue them.
The medications included are:
- Tramadol
- Sleeping tablets, including but not limited to, zopiclone & zolpidem
- Benzodiazepines, including, but not limited to, diazepam, lorazepam, temazepam
Anti-inflammatory medications, such as naproxen, are not added to repeat prescriptions but can be ordered as required.
